Height: 2 to 3 feet tall and wide

Light: Full sun

\\m: 3 to 5'' drooping yellow flowers with red blotch around large cone

Bloom Time: Spring through Summer

Growth Habit: Blue-green leaves clasping around stem. Reseeds freely.

Comments: Formerly Rudbeckia amplexicaulis. Excellent pollinator plant. Small songbirds feed on dried seed heads. Drought and pest resistant. Should be planted alone in open areas that can be maintained by mowing. Great for prairies, pastures and pond edges, Not suitable for garden beds.
