Louisiana Master Gardener is a LSU program that trains volunteers in horticulture in exchange for 40 hours of volunteer service dedicated back into the program. Sharing what has been learned with other gardeners. The Lafayette Chapter (LPMGA) is unique in that it is a cooperative effort between LSU’s Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service and ULL’s Ira Nelson Horticulture Center.
The LSU AgCenter will be offering its Master Gardener course starting in August.
Whether you are a seasoned gardener, or an enthusiastic beginner, this is a unique educational experience, taught by experts in their fields. Class members receive a wealth of information on many horticultural topics, and have opportunities to ask questions about their own gardening concerns.

Classes are held on either Tuesdays or Thursdays from 8:45 am—3:00 pm, August through November.
Thursday for 15 weeks. At ULLs Ira Nelson Horticulture Center 2206 Johnston St, Lafayette.
